Govind Arun Ahuja was born on December 21, 1963, into a family with cinematic roots. His father, Arun Kumar Ahuja, was an actor in the 1940s, and his mother, Nirmala Devi, was a classical singer and actress. The youngest of six children, Govinda grew up in Virar, a suburb of Mumbai. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Annasaheb Vartak College. Despite his family’s connection to the film industry, his path to stardom was paved with dedication and hard work.

Rise to Stardom in Bollywood:
Govinda made his electrifying debut in 1986 with the film Ilzaam, which became a box office success and established him as a dancing star.
